Unless you are on the mother-of-all Contiki tours and enjoy seeing fleeting images of some of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations from a bus window, seeing 27 countries in 90 days is just not feasible.
So, I had a plan to ditch 9-to-5 and travel Europe – all of Europe – in detail. Over ten years of planning, it all seemed very doable until I hit ‘the Schengen’.
Now, this has become an annual problem for me – nine months every year traveling the zone – so I started researching every possible hack to legally extend my stay. This website is the repository for everything I have learnt thru countless nights poring over EU legislation and google-translating national laws. Along the way, I discovered hundreds of fellow swots with an eye for legal detail. And many with stories of first-hand encounters discussing the finer points of EU rules with friendly border officials.
